Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026

The consumer health data Peak's developer collects through Peak: what it is, where it comes from, whether it's shared, and your rights.

It adds to our Privacy Policy.

1What we collect, and why

Only through the AI meal scan, which is part of Peak Premium, the free trial included, and only after you agree: the meal photo you choose, and the estimate made from it, a name for the meal and its calories, protein, carbs and fat. We use them only to make and show your estimate. Our server passes them between the app and our AI provider, and keeps neither.

Your profile, your exercises and your saved meals stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. Crash reports hold no health data.

2Where it comes from

From you, when you choose a meal photo and tap Read my meal, and from our AI provider, which makes the estimate. Peak asks for your consent first, and nothing is ticked for you.

3Sharing

We don't share or sell consumer health data, with any third party or affiliate. We disclose it only to our processors, under contract: Google, through Firebase, which carries the photo and the estimate, and Anthropic, our AI provider, which reads the photo.

4Your rights

  • Confirm and access. Ask whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, get a copy, and get a list of anyone we shared it with or sold it to.
  • Withdraw consent. Turn off AI photo reading in Settings, under Meals and AI, or email us.
  • Delete. Delete a meal from its card in Progress, everything with Delete all data in Settings, and our server's records about your subscription by email. Anthropic deletes requests within 30 days, or up to 2 years if its safety systems flag them, with their safety scores up to 7 years.

5How to ask

Email peak@edgemind.dev. You need no account, and we may ask for your Peak purchase details to find your records. Requests are free. We answer within 45 days, and may extend that once by 45 more days, telling you why.

If we decline, reply to our answer with the word Appeal, and we answer in writing within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you can complain to your state's Attorney General, such as in Washington or Nevada.
